Congratulations!

2023 Teacher of the Year

2023 Teacher of the Year Mrs. Bride

Mrs. Bride is a mathematics teacher at our school.  She attended Shinshu University on a full academic scholarship and earned her master's degree in Civil Engineering in 2015.  She is highly qualified in both mathematics and physics, and she is fluent in Chinese, Japanese, and English.  Mrs. Bride began her career as an engineer in a multi-national civil engineering firm in Japan, and, after relocating to Florida for marriage, she started teaching middle school mathematics.  In addition, she coaches mathletes in the MathCounts club and prepares those students for the national mathematics competition.

Mrs. Bride wanted to become a teacher because she always enjoyed helping and supporting others.  She feels most rewarded when she can assist someone to overcome academic difficulties.  For Mrs. Bride, teaching is extremely rewarding, and it gives her the opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives.  Apart from teaching, she enjoys travel, art, music, watching films and anime, and playing video games.  She shares many of the same interests and hobbies as a lot of her students, and, as such, she always enjoys conversing with them about the latest shows and games.  She has traveled all over the world, and she brings a global perspective to her classroom and lessons.

Congratulations!
